Joe Jaumotte is a senior refractory specialist with significant experience in material selection, furnace design, and installation oversight. Joe spent 24 years with Harbison Walker where he improved many thermal processes through his deep knowledge of product chemistry and refractory behavior. He has managed international divisions within the refractory industry where he developed a strong awareness of the global supply chains necessary to execute large projects on a competitive basis.
Within the heat recovery coke making industry, Mr. Jaumotte has performed many key functions over the last 12 years including market analysis, material selection, vendor sourcing, procurement, expediting, and both producer and site level inspections.
Additionally, Joe has a strong background in the development process of leading edge materials for a wide range of applications such as cement kiln linings, foundry castables and gunning mixes, magnesium carbon linings for BOFs, amorphous silica for use in titanium reactors, and fused silica and fireclay grains for multiple applications.
Joe Jaumotte holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University and now lives in Pittsburgh, PA.
