Tom Berg
Tom Berg is Vice President of Business Development at Westbrook Thermal Technology LLC. Mr. Berg has spent his entire career in coke-making, principally by-product technology. His work experience includes design, construction, operation and business development of coke-making facilities.
Tom has successfully managed an entire by-products plant, started up a brand new plant, and managed the business development phases of at least two other new facilities, thereby gaining a total understanding of the by-products process. Specific areas of focus were coal and coke handling, quenching, coke oven machinery, coke battery inspections, battery rehabilitation, coke plant assessments and due diligence.
Tom was formerly Chairman of the AISE Coke Operating Committee and a Board Member of the Eastern States Blast Furnace and Coke Oven Operators Association.
Tom holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Detroit and a Masters of Business Administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo. His career path has included Dravo Corporation, Citizens Gas and Coke Utility, Hatch Engineers and SunCoke Energy. He presently resides in Brownsburg, Indiana.
